Serving as executive chairman of Insight Investment in New York, Clifford “Cliff” Corso informs operations at this global firm that focuses on the fixed-income asset management needs of institutional clients. Clifford “Cliff” Corso is active in the corporate and real estate lending committees, and takes part in economics strategy discussions that leverage his extensive knowledge of areas such as asset-backed finance and bonds.

Mr. Corso established Cutwater Asset Management in the mid-1990s, where he was a pioneering force in the development of collateralized debt obligation (CDO) and other non-bank financing vehicles, as well as credit derivatives issues. He grew the New York firm from the ground up, eventually employing 200 staff members and managing $40 billion in assets. Over the years, he gained a reputation for quality portfolio performance as he worked to creatively structure solutions on behalf of insurance clients. He has consistently optimized capital, yield, liquidity, security, and returns.

A respected voice in his industry, Mr. Corso has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV discussing fixed-income issues, and was named the "New Bond King” by CNBC. An avid reader of historical nonfiction, Cliff Corso is particularly drawn to the leadership narratives of Winston Churchill and Theodore Roosevelt.
